The role involves 7:00 am to 8:00 pm coverage with pediatric-focused respiratory care and supervision of respiratory staff.

Required: AS degree in Respiratory Therapy, NY license, and BCLS. Preferred: 1–2 years in a hospital setting with pediatric experience and RRT/CRT credentials.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate’s degree in Applied Science and Respiratory Therapy; New York State Respiratory Therapist License; BCLS.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of hospital-based experience; Pediatric experience; RRT and CRT certification.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a licensed physician, perform various respiratory therapies and procedures, invasive and non-invasive.
• Supervise and monitor Respiratory Technicians as described in licensure law.
• Assist in transportation of incubated pediatric patients, maintain airways, provide ventilation and oxygenation; assess modalities and recommend changes.
