Ochsner Health is seeking a respiratory therapist to provide respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostics and ventilation support for neonatal to geriatric patients. Roles include ARTERIAL BLOOD GAS analysis, EKGs, and patient education under physician orders consistent with policy.

Required: Associate's degree, active Respiratory Therapist license in the state, NBRC RRT, and BLS; ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Must hold current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
• BLS required; ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient with data entry and Windows applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory procedures according to policy.
• Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Provides age-appropriate care based on patient population.
• Adapts communication and procedures to patient needs.
