Job summary

CHKD Medical Group is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide specialized therapies for neonatal and pediatric patients across NICU, PICU, ED, and general care areas at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA.

The role requires current RRT credential, NRP designation within 45 days, and AHA BLS/PALS. An Associate degree is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced, family-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program or college.
• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care preferred and may be required for advancement.
• Continuous recertification and maintaining licensures is required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition using history, exam, labs and diagnostics.
• Develop or modify respiratory care plan and advise physicians.
• Administer diagnostic tests and monitor therapy responses.
