Job summary

Children's National Hospital is seeking dedicated Respiratory Care Practitioners to join our team at our 323-bed Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. Our Respiratory Department offers growth opportunities through a career ladder, working across NICU, PICU, ED and other high-level units.

The role requires an Associates degree in Respiratory Care, RRT or equivalent, and DC DOH license with BLS/PALS. 1 year of experience is preferred, new grads accepted. Sign-on bonus up to $20,000.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in AMA approved Respiratory Care Program (Required).
• 1 year of Respiratory Care experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and DC DOH license required; BLS and PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory care for neonates to adults per department standards.
• Performs humidification, aerosol therapy, CPAP/BIPAP, and high-flow therapies.
• Manages mechanical ventilation: setup, monitoring, troubleshooting.
• Maintains documentation and completes data entry thoroughly.
