Qualifications

• Post graduation hospital experience is preferred.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC is required.
• Current State of Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license is required.
• AARC membership is preferred.
• Current PALS certification within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures per standards and policies.
• Interacts with patients and families to explain care modalities in an understandable manner.
• Communicates patient data and clinical status to the health care team clearly.
• Assesses patient status, progresses toward goals, and recommends actions based on evidence.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and maintains competency.
