Job summary

Boston Children1s Hospital seeks a Respiratory Care Department leader to supervise RTs and ECMO specialists, ensuring high-quality pediatric patient care. You will oversee staffing, evaluate performance, and provide direct respiratory and ECMO services across varied clinical settings.

The role requires 4 years of licensed RT experience with pediatric specialization and ECMO training, plus relevant degrees.

Qualifications

• 4 years of clinical experience as a licensed respiratory therapist with at least 3 years in a pediatric specialty.
• Completion of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation training with 1+ years of clinical ECMO experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Respiratory Therapists and ECMO Specialists across clinical programs and settings.
• Evaluates staff performance and counsels personnel to improve outcomes.
• Oversees Respiratory Care Department and ECMO Program staffing and equipment levels.
• Provides direct and consultative respiratory care and ECMO support.
• Leads development and evaluation of clinical practices and departmental procedures.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and serves as department representative.
