Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a seasoned Respiratory Care Department Supervisor to lead respiratory therapy and ECMO staff in a pediatric-focused environment. The role supervises staff, evaluates performance, and ensures high-quality patient care across programs.
You will oversee staffing and equipment, provide direct clinical care and consultation, drive clinical practice development, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Supervises provision of clinical services by respiratory care and ECMO staff. Monitors and evaluates patient volume and acuity levels to comply with department quality assurance/improvement standards for patient care. Provides direct patient care and consultation in both respiratory care and ECMO services.
4 years of clinical experience as a licensed respiratory therapist with a minimum of three years in a pediatric specialty. Work requires completion of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation training with one to years of clinical experience as an Associate ECMO Specialist.
Associates Degree and Bachelors Degree in a complementary field is required.
Bachelors Degree and or Masters Degree is preferred.
Respiratory Therapy area of study is required.
Current Massachusetts license as a Respiratory Therapist is required.
This position is eligible for full-time benefits and a $20,000 sign-on bonus (not eligible for internal candidates and not eligible for former BCH employees who worked here in the past 2 years)
