Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers in Tampa, FL, seeks a Pediatrician (MD/DO) to join our Residency Faculty. You will provide comprehensive pediatric care while supervising and teaching residents in a community health setting.

The ideal candidate will have an active Florida license, completed pediatric residency, and a passion for education, mentorship, and improving care for underserved children. This full-time role offers competitive compensation plus loan repayment opportunities and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics, meeting applicable residency faculty requirements.
• Active, unrestricted Florida medical license.
• Active DEA registration and current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including preventive visits, acute treatment, developmental assessments, and chronic disease management.
• Diagnose and treat patients, develop treatment plans, and coordinate specialty referrals.
• Educate patients and families regarding wellness, treatment, and disease prevention.
• Teach, supervise, evaluate, and mentor pediatric residents.
• Participate in continuity clinics, didactic sessions, case discussions, and educational activities.
• Collaborate with residency leadership on curriculum development, program improvement, and accreditation readiness.
• Support quality improvement, scholarly activities, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements.
