Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking a compassionate Pediatrician to join our primary care team in Tampa, FL. You will provide comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents, including preventive services, acute treatment, and chronic disease management.

You will collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, residents, and students to support TFHC’s Patient-Centered Medical Home model while teaching and supervising trainees as applicable.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Board Certification required within one year of eligibility.
• Active and unrestricted Florida medical license.
• Active DEA registration.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to continuing medical education and professional development.
• Ability to provide compassionate care to diverse patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care including well-child visits and preventive services.
• Manage acute care, chronic disease, and adherence to care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment, and prevention.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostics; develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate referrals for specialty care and additional services.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and timely charting.
• Participate in care team huddles and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Support TFHC’s Patient-Centered Medical Home model.
