Job summary

Driscoll Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Rehab Audiology Manager to lead and support our growing Audiology Program across Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley (RGV). This leadership role focuses on program development, clinical governance, and mentoring staff while maintaining some direct pediatric care when needed.

The position requires Au.D. or equivalent, Texas licensure, 5+ years of clinical experience, and willingness to travel to RGV.

Qualifications

• Au.D. or equivalent degree in Audiology.
• Minimum 5 years of related clinical experience.
• Current Texas Audiologist license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Strong clinical knowledge, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to mentor staff, collaborate across departments, and support clinical operations.
• Willingness and availability to travel to the Rio Grande Valley.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, clinical guidance, and professional development opportunities for Audiologists across Corpus Christi and the RGV.
• Develop and implement standardized clinical protocols, evidence-based best practices, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure exceptional pediatric patient care.
• Oversee the Audiology externship program, mentor doctoral Audiology students, and collaborate with universities and clinical preceptors.
• Stay current on Texas laws, professional standards, insurance billing requirements, and regulatory guidelines related to Audiology services.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, staff competencies, and performance evaluations while supporting departmental goals.
• Work closely with physicians, rehabilitation leadership, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and support program growth.
• Provide direct pediatric Audiology patient care as needed during staffing shortages or increased patient volumes.
• Frequently visit RGV locations to provide onsite leadership and support.
