Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Cape Cod, part of Mass General Brigham, seeks a Rehab Aide to support licensed therapists in patient care on Cape Cod. The role involves direct patient assistance, preparation for therapy sessions, and team collaboration in a hospital-level rehabilitation program.

Positions are full-time (40 hours) with benefits from day one. Candidates should have a high school diploma and up to one year of rehab aide experience; strong communication and physical stamina are essential

Qualifications

• Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience - Rehab Aid 0-1 year preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Good bedside manner.
• Good physical strength and stamina for lifting and moving immobile patients.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing routine exercises or follow-up of functional activities (direct patient care) under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or therapy assistant.
• Prepares patients for treatment by therapist.
• Assists therapists during therapy.
• Attends and actively participates in team meetings.
• Transfers and transports patients in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintains equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition.
• Occasionally cover front desk scheduling appointments, checking in patients and answering phones.
• Conduct monthly inventory.
• Makes clinic materials as needed.
• Reports directly to the Clinical Supervisor.
