Job Details

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including oral history reviews and screenings.
• Take and analyze X-rays, and create dental impressions for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Perform professional cleaning by removing calculus and plaque from all tooth surfaces.
• Administer sealants and fluoride treatments to protect teeth and promote oral health.
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices, including proper brushing, flossing techniques, and dietary habits.
• Provide guidance on nutrition and its role in supporting oral and overall health.
• Create accurate impressions of patients' teeth for study casts, assisting dentists in treatment evaluation.
• Maintain precise and thorough records of patient care and treatment plans.
• Ensure all dental instruments are properly sterilized and meet hygiene standards.
• Monitor and manage inventory to ensure the availability of necessary dental supplies.

Qualifications

• Valid State License as a Dental Hygienist in Texas
• Patient and Friendly Demeanor
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• In-Depth Knowledge of Health And Safety Regulation – HIPAA Compliance
• Experience with EHR Programs – Denticon Preferred
