Qualifications

• ARRT licensure and BLS certification are required.
• Experience with Three-Phase x-ray imaging equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Routine imaging of pediatrics with emphasis on orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, and burns.
• Verifies patient identification and confirms radiology order prior to imaging.
• Communicates information and provides assistance to patient, family, and co-worker before exams.
• Obtains correctly positioned radiographs as ordered by physician.
• Adheres to safety regulations to protect patients, family and staff from radiation exposure.
• Uses ALARA as a guiding principle for radiation safety.
• Verifies non-pregnancy state for females of child bearing age prior to exam.
• Documents appropriately in PACS, RADNET, and the EHR.
