Shriners Children’s is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform pediatric radiology procedures, focusing on orthopaedics, spinal injuries, and burns. The role requires maintaining high standards of imaging quality and safety, with strict adherence to radiation safety, ALARA, and proper use of shielding.

Responsibilities include image acquisition, patient and family communication, order verification, and proficiency with PACS, RADNET, and EHR systems.

Formación

• ARRT licensure.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Routine imaging of pediatric patients with emphasis on orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, and burns.
• Verify patient identity and radiology orders prior to imaging.
• Communicate information and provide instructions to patients and families before exams.
• Obtain correctly positioned radiographs to visualize areas of interest as ordered by physician.
• Adhere to safety regulations to protect patients, families, and staff from radiation exposure.
• Utilize ALARA principles and lead shielding as needed.
• Verify non-pregnancy state for females of child bearing age prior to exam.
• Maintain equipment, documentation, and navigation within PACS, RADNET, and the EHR.
