We are seeking a Radiology Technologist in the Imaging Department. The technologist provides quality patient care by performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures, adhering to radiation safety principles.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  • Performs diagnostic imaging procedures to demonstrate anatomy and physiology for interpretation or intervention.
  • Uses professional judgment and maintains a demeanor aligned with quality care.
  • Provides appropriate patient care, recognizing patient conditions to ensure successful procedures.
  • Complies with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Assesses patient’s physical condition and needs.
  • Provides clear instructions to patients to facilitate cooperation.
  • Ensures proper patient identification and documentation.
  • Positions patients and equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Assesses images for quality and accuracy.
  • Applies radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.
  • Participates in quality control tasks and demonstrates proficiency in contrast medication administration.
  • Provides emergency assistance for adverse reactions.
  • Uses personal protective equipment and maintains a safe environment.
  • Supervises and trains new technologists and students.
  • Utilizes radiology systems effectively and accurately.
  • Maintains compliance with policies and standards.
Other Related Functions
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Provides patient transport as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Training

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Licensure/Certification
  • Valid Florida Radiologic Technologist license.
  • ARRT certification.
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
