Job summary

Intermountain Health in Riverton, UT is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams and ensure high-quality results. You will collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other care teams in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient safety and image quality.

Responsibilities include maintaining ARRT competency, proper patient prep, image review, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required and active.
• State license to practice radiology as applicable.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete MA competency checklist and function as an MA in clinic or InstaCare.

Responsibilities

• Maintain competency in imaging functions and departmental protocols.
• Confirm patient identification and prepare patient for exams.
• Perform exams and review images for quality and accuracy.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
• Complete studies within time limits while upholding patient care and quality; assist students and other radiology staff.
• Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keep accurate records of patient information, procedures, and reactions.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
