Job summary

Intermountain Health in Riverton, Utah is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety within the Pediatric Clinic and InstaCare.

This role requires ARRT certification, state license, and BLS; MA competency may be required. Schedule Mon–Fri 9am–5:30pm with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for eligible candidates. The position emphasizes teamwork, infection control, and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• State radiologic technologist license (if applicable).
• BLS for healthcare providers required.
• May be required to complete the MA Competency Checklist and perform MA functions in a clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality; assists students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols.
• Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
