Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital in Houston seeks a Manager of Radiology (Non-Ionizing) to lead the imaging sections of the Radiology department, ensuring staff have resources, training, and leadership to deliver high-quality pediatric services.

You will standardize workflows, practices, procedures, and quality standards across the enterprise, promote strong communication, and maintain patient care that is family-centered and developmentally appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Radiological Sciences or a formal diagnostic radiology program.
• Master's degree in Healthcare or Management is preferred.
• 3 years clinical radiology experience and 1-year formal supervisory experience or 5 years radiology advanced specialist experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of CT, Interventional Radiology, MRI, Rad/Fluoro, Ultrasound, Women's Radiology and Nuclear Radiology/PET.
• Supervises examinations, assigns tasks, and inspects work to ensure department standards.
• Monitors inventory and maintains budget-compliant stock levels.
• Participates in equipment evaluation during capital budget planning.
• Documents equipment issues and reports downtime of mission-critical systems.
• Schedules maintenance and staff work hours and holiday coverage.
• Guides staff development and participates in performance appraisals.
• Interviews applicants and oversees training of new staff and students.
• Ensures patient care is family-centered and developmentally appropriate.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Radiological Sciences or Technical diploma

Master's degree Healthcare or Management related fields
