Qualifications

• Formal diagnostic radiology training and state certifications.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and radiologic terminology.
• Commitment to radiation safety and ALARA principles.

Responsibilities

• Assesses contraindications and patient readiness for procedures.
• Provides information to patients and health care teams.
• Applies ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
• Performs high quality imaging and optimizes technical factors.
• Ensures accurate data entry and image management in EPIC, PACS.
• Recognizes emergencies and initiates procedures.
• Participates in continuing education and trainings.
• Builds rapport and coordinates tasks within the department.
