Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Radiology Imaging Technician to perform diagnostic imaging and support a multidisciplinary team in a pediatric setting.

Responsibilities include operating radiology equipment, updating EMR, assisting radiologists, and ensuring safety and quality. The ideal candidate holds ARRT in Radiography, an Associate’s degree, and BLS within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• ARRT credential in Radiography (R)
• BLS within 30 days of employment
• Associate's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates modality specific radiology equipment and manages image processing and transmission.
• Updates EMR with exam data and ensures accuracy of billing for radiology procedures.
• Provides patient history and informed consent to radiologists/physicians.
• Assists with contrast media administration as required.
• Collaborates with medical staff to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Participates in QA initiatives and department accreditation activities.
• Adheres to age-specific guidelines and educates patients and families as needed.
• Keeps competencies current through mandatory CBTs.
