Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a skilled Registered Sonographer to join our Radiology team. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams on pediatric patients using advanced imaging technology while collaborating with radiologists and physicians.

Full-time, Monday–Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with rotating on-call and holiday coverage. Compensation includes a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance to support your transition.

Qualificações

• Completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography training program (typically 12–18 months).
• 2–3 years of pediatric sonography experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent in radiologic technology, if applicable, but not required for sonographers.

Responsabilidades

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations with high-quality imaging and proper patient positioning.
• Review orders and patient histories to determine imaging protocols.
• Select transducers and adjust settings based on patient age and size.
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to pediatric patients.
• Recognize normal and abnormal anatomy and escalate as needed.
• Evaluate images for quality and completeness; adjust techniques as necessary.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure timely imaging.
• Maintain documentation of procedures and equipment performance.
• Assist with equipment QA, safety checks, and departmental improvements.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and infection control.
