Job summary

Oklahoma Children's Hospital is seeking a Radiographer to join the Pediatric Radiology team on the Days 5x8 shift. The role involves performing routine diagnostic X-ray examinations using fixed and portable equipment under supervision, following established protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, contrast administration where indicated, documentation in EMR/PACS, and providing clear information to patients and families about testing timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited imaging/radiology program as defined by ARRT or JRCERT program accepted in lieu of other requirements.
• No prior experience required for Radiographer I; Associate degree required for Radiographer II/III.
• Current Basic Life Support (AHA) required upon hire; ARRT(RT) certification within 12 months (I) or at hire (II/III).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations using fixed and portable equipment.
• Ensure safety and high-quality results per protocols and standards.
• Assist with fluoroscopic procedures when required.
• Prepare patients and review history for appropriate testing.
• Document in EMR/PACS and transfer images to the EHR system.
• Provide patient and family information regarding testing and timelines.
• Support teaching of students and on-call coverage as assigned.
