Job summary

Duke Health Integrated Practice is seeking a Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the team. The APP will evaluate, treat, and follow children and adolescents with pulmonary hypertension, working with pediatric cardiology, ICU and outpatient teams in a collaborative care model.

The role requires NP or PA training, NC licensure, and certification; BLS and PALS are expected. Primary hours are 40 per week with potential partial FTE options depending on need.

Qualifications

• NP: completion of accredited graduate level Pediatric-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
• PA: graduation from ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Licensure: NC RN/NP or NC PA.
• Certification: NP: PNP-AC; PA: NCCPA.
• Experience: pediatric APP preferred (3+ years).
• Life support: BLS and PALS.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat pediatric patients with pulmonary hypertension under supervising physician.
• Coordinate care with pediatric cardiology and ICU teams.
• Order labs, imaging, and schedule procedures; obtain prior authorizations.
• Educate families and participate in multidisciplinary clinics and quality initiatives.
