Job summary

The Duke Children's Health Center Valvano Day Hospital seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver direct pediatric care across oncology, rheumatology, transplant, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and nephrology under physician supervision.

The APP will perform exams, prescribe medications, participate in program coordination, educate staff and families, contribute to research activities, and lead clinical care improvements within the Duke Health System in Durham, North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Education required: NP or PA credentials specific to pediatric practice.
• Active licensure/board certification required in NC or eligible.
• Minimum 1 year APP experience in a similar practice.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS life-support certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients across multiple specialties.
• Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests under supervision.
• Develop care plans, participate in rounds, and coordinate care with teams.
