Job summary
UT Southwestern Medical Center invites applications for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant II in Pediatric Pulmonary Integrated Therapy Unit. The APP collaborates with pulmonologists, educates families, and manages care for children with complex chronic pulmonary conditions.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing or higher and Documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program and Texas Board of Nursing authorization
- Master's degree graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program and PA-C certification
- Current BLS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications upon hire
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses and treats pediatric pulmonary patients and families.
- Develops and manages treatment plans for pediatric patients.
- Performs comprehensive exams based on age and diagnosis.
- Orders and interprets labs, radiology, and other studies.
- Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills.
- Provides education to patients and caregivers.
- Participates in quality improvement and research projects.
- Performs additional assigned duties
