MedCare Pediatric is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide one-on-one care in home-based settings. Flexible scheduling offers Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN options, with a focus on high-quality pediatric therapy and family education.

Qualified candidates will have a PTA in Texas, a valid license or eligibility, and pediatric or new graduate readiness. bilingual Spanish/English is a plus for family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current Texas PTA license or eligible to obtain licensure by start date.
• One year of experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist according to the plan of care.
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence.
• Educate families and caregivers on exercises, positioning, and home programs.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
• Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date

• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
