Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver one-on-one therapy in children’s home, school, or daycare settings. The role supports mobility, independence, and activity participation with a patient-centered approach and a collaborative team.

Flexible Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN options are available. The PTA will work under licensed PT supervision, with emphasis on family education, progress updates, and holistic care coordination.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current Texas PTA license or eligible to obtain licensure by start date.
• One year of experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care.
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence.
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
