Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant to provide one-on-one care in children’s home, school, and community settings. You will work under a licensed PT, implementing plans of care and promoting functional independence.

The ideal candidate holds a PTA license for Texas, with pediatric experience preferred; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. Flexible, full-time/part-time/PRN options support work-life balance and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current Texas PTA license or eligibility by start date.
• One year of experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT services under the direction of a licensed PT.
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, and independence.
• Educate families on exercises, positioning, and home programs.
• Monitor progress and report updates to the supervising PT.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
• Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
• One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
