Job summary

Shema Kolainu-Hear Our Voices seeks a skilled Physical Therapist to join its Early Intervention team, serving children aged 0-3 to reach developmental milestones.

Responsibilities include evaluations, developing individualized plans, and providing PT services in home and community settings while collaborating with OTs, SLPs, and teachers. NY licensure required; 2+ years pediatrics preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy (PT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in early intervention or pediatrics.
• New York State licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assessments of children aged 0-3 with ASD or related developmental disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing communication, play, and daily routines goals.
• Provide physical therapy services in home and community settings, including natural environments and play-based activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (OT, speech, teachers) to ensure a comprehensive approach.
• Communicate effectively with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
