Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Care System in Fort Worth is seeking a Program Specialist II to provide direct care for psychiatric patients from pre-K through adolescence. You will assist with activities of daily living, help maintain a safe environment, and support the management of harmful behaviors in a pediatric setting.

You will participate in crisis intervention, teach group sessions, and contribute to treatment planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field.
• Experience in inpatient or partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services preferred.
• Pediatric growth and development education required.
• BLS certification due within 60 days of start date; CPI training as noted.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary caregiver for psychiatric patients ages pre-K through adolescence, assisting daily living and safety.
• Maintain a safe environment and manage behaviors of concern.
• Participate in crisis intervention, teaching, and group processes; be on call as needed.
