Job summary

Windwood Farm Home For Children Inc is seeking a Registered Nurse in Awendaw, SC, to join a trauma-informed care team serving youth in a PRTF. The role emphasizes comprehensive nursing care, medication management, health assessments, and adherence to infection control guidelines.

The position requires CPI experience or willingness to participate in CPI interventions, and on-call readiness within 30 minutes of the facility. Full-time, 40 hours/week, with three 13-hour shifts and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Current, active SC RN license and personal liability insurance.
• Experience in inpatient/outpatient mental health or child welfare preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with Microsoft Office and EHRs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of nursing care to support residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; sign off on MARs and report all medication errors.
• Complete initial and ongoing health assessments, including self-care, hygiene, nutrition, and response to illness.
• Maintain monthly vitals (BP, height, weight) for each resident.
• Provide basic first aid and manage infection control per CDC/SCDPH guidance.
