Job summary
OP Specialty Bracing is seeking a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to join our pediatric-focused team. You will assess patients, design and fit orthoses and prostheses, and collaborate with physicians to ensure proper device prescriptions.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, MSPO, and completes an NCOPE residency; two+ years of related experience is preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive environment dedicated to improving children's lives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university.
- MSPO degree required or equivalent.
- Completion of NCOPE certified residency program.
Responsibilities
- Examine, interview, and measure patients to determine appliance needs; identify factors affecting fit.
- Fit, test, and evaluate devices; adjust for proper fit, function and comfort.
- Instruct patients in use and care of orthoses/prostheses.
- Design orthopedic devices based on physician prescriptions and exam results.
- Maintain patients' records.
- Make and modify plaster casts for device construction.
