Job summary

OP Specialty Bracing is seeking a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to join our clinical team. You will examine and measure patients, design and fabricate orthopedic devices, and work with physicians to fulfill prescriptions. The role emphasizes pediatric care and hands-on device fitting.

Two plus years of related experience, MSPO, and NCOPE residency are expected; you will guide patients on device use and care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university.
• Master's of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSPO) required.
• Completion of NCOPE certified residency program.
• Two plus years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Examine, interview, and measure patients to determine appliance needs. Identify factors affecting fit.
• Fit, test, and evaluate devices; adjust for proper fit, function, and comfort.
• Instruct patients in the use and care of orthoses/prostheses.
• Design orthopedic devices based on physicians' prescriptions and patient measurements.
• Make and modify plaster casts for device construction.
• Confer with physicians to formulate specifications and prescriptions.
• Repair, rebuild, and modify orthopedic appliances.
• Construct and fabricate appliances or direct others constructing them.
