Job summary

OP Specialty Bracing is seeking a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to join our clinical team. Our mission centers on improving the lives of children with orthopedic conditions through expert prosthetics and orthotics care.

The successful candidate will evaluate patients, design and fit devices, educate families, and collaborate with physicians. We offer a pediatric-focused practice with growing nationwide clinics and a commitment to quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Two plus years related experience and/or training.
• Master's of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSPO).
• Completion of NCOPE certified residency program.

Responsibilities

• Examine, interview, and measure patients to determine appliance needs.
• Fit, test, and evaluate devices; adjust for proper fit, function, and comfort.
• Instruct patients in the use and care of orthoses/prostheses.
• Design orthopedic devices, based on physicians' prescriptions and examination/measurement of patients.
• Make and modify plaster casts of areas that will be fitted with orthoses, for use in the device construction process.
• Select materials and components to be used based on device design.
• Confer with physicians to formulate specifications and prescriptions for orthopedic devices.
• Repair, rebuild, and modify orthopedic appliances.
• Construct and fabricate appliances or direct others constructing the appliances.
• Performs all other duties as required.
