Boston Brace International, Inc dba OP Specialty Bracing in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to provide comprehensive pediatric orthotics and prosthetics care. The role includes examining and measuring patients, fitting devices, and collaborating with physicians to meet each child’s needs.

The ideal candidate holds a MSPO, has completed an NCOPE residency, and has at least two years of related experience or training.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• MSPO degree and completion of NCOPE residency.
• Two+ years related experience or training (or equivalent).

Aufgaben

• Examine, interview, and measure patients to determine appliance needs.
• Fit, test, and evaluate devices; adjust for fit, function, and comfort.
• Instruct patients in use and care of orthoses/prostheses.
• Design orthopedic devices based on physicians' prescriptions and patient measurements.
• Maintain patients' records.
• Make and modify plaster casts for device construction.
• Select materials and components based on device design.
• Confer with physicians to formulate device specifications and prescriptions.
• Repair, rebuild, and modify orthopedic appliances.
• Construct and fabricate appliances or direct others constructing them.
• Perform all other duties as required.

Ausbildung

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university

Two plus years related experience and / or training; equivalent combination of education and experience

Master's of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSPO)

Completion of NCOPE certified residency program
