Job summary

OP Specialty Bracing in Indianapolis is seeking a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to join our pediatric-focused team. You will fit, test, and adjust braces under physician guidance, educate families, and design devices based on prescriptions.

Our program emphasizes high-quality, kid-centered care across major clinics; requires MSPO, NCOPE residency completion, and 2+ years of experience. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive environment dedicated to improving children’s mobility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• MSPO degree is required/preferred in candidates.
• Completion of NCOPE residency program is required.

Responsibilities

• Examine, interview, and measure patients to determine their appliance needs.
• Fit, test, and evaluate devices on patients; adjust for fit and comfort.
• Instruct patients in the use and care of orthoses/prostheses.
• Design orthopedic devices based on physicians' prescriptions.
• Make and modify plaster casts for device construction.
• Select materials based on device design.
• Confer with physicians to formulate specifications.
• Repair, rebuild, and modify orthopedic appliances.
• Construct and fabricate appliances or direct others.
