Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services for pediatric clients.
• Initiates the plan of care and requests revisions as patient needs change.
• Implements therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and goals.
• Responds to changes in patient status and escalates to physician or supervisor as needed.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews plans of care and program protocols and supports healthcare teaching, care coordination, and discharge planning.
