First Day Homecare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide skilled nursing care for pediatric clients in the home setting in Michigan. You will work under physician orders and with a Clinical Supervisor to ensure high-quality care.

The role includes medication administration, client teaching, and coordination with the care team in a home-based environment. Prior pediatric homecare experience is beneficial, with a focus on safety and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed LPN with current state license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Performs care per physician orders and client care plan.
• Documents changes in orders in the medical record following agency procedures.
• Includes patient teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services (e.g., tracheostomy care, ventilator management, tube feedings).
• Collaborates with the care team and promotes safety for clients and coworkers.
• Performs duties in compliance with agency policies and accreditation standards.
• Coordinates care and attends agency meetings as requested.
