Job summary

First Day Homecare is seeking a compassionate and reliable nurse to provide skilled pediatric and family‑centered care under physician orders in Detroit. The nurse will perform licensed practical nursing duties per the Nurse Practice Act and follow the client's care plan with supervision by a clinical practitioner.

You will work with infant and school‑aged clients in the Detroit area, with flexible scheduling, paid time off, and potential bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current LPN license to practice in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
• Administers care per orders and client care plans and documents changes in orders.
• Maintains accurate medical records per agency procedures.
• Performs pediatric nursing tasks including complex care such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feeds.
• Collaborates with the client’s care team to ensure coordinated care.
• Promotes safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Adheres to agency policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
• Participates in care coordination and agency meetings.
