RWJBarnabas Health’s Pediatric Primary Care practice at Children’s Specialized Hospital in Union, NJ is hiring a Pediatric Primary Care RN. The role focuses on clinical triage, immunizations, education, and coordination of care for children with complex needs.

The RN will work in a busy ambulatory setting, partnering with physicians and interprofessional teams to deliver family-centered care and to support a medical home model that improves outcomes and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing and NJ RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider Certification required.
• Experience in pediatric nursing or ambulatory care desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform telephonic and in-person clinical triage using nursing judgment and established guidelines.
• Assess symptoms, determine urgency, and escalate to provider when needed.
• Document histories and assessments in EPIC with SBAR communication.
• Provide nursing guidance, education, and clinical recommendations.
• Coordinate same-day, urgent, and follow-up appointments based on needs.
