Job summary

The University of California – San Francisco is seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee pediatric acute and critical care teams, ensuring safe, effective patient care across the Cross Bay Pediatric Resource Team and related units. This role partners with nurse leadership to optimize staffing, workflow, and clinical practice.

Responsibilities include supervising skilled staff, managing resources and budgets, and guiding policy adherence while supporting expansion of staffing across UCSF

Qualifications

• Two to four years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience in pediatric acute or critical care.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Nursing.
• Ability to supervise clinicians and manage complex workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• RN license in California; CPR and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff involved in providing clinical patient care and ensures quality delivery.
• Manages personnel, fiscal, and material resources including payroll and scheduling.
• Oversees operations of multiple pediatric resource teams across UCSF units.
• Executes workflow improvements and supports staffing expansion initiatives.
• Partners with nurse leadership to align practice with regulatory standards.
