Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the Pre- and Post-Op department at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC. This salaried leadership role oversees clinical and operational functions to deliver safe, high-quality pediatric care, with a focus on staffing, budgets, and professional development.

The ideal candidate will have pediatric Pre-Op or PACU experience and prior management responsibilities, with RN licensure in the appropriate state and a path toward MSN

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• MSN preferred; enrollment within 1 year of hire.
• BSN with master's or MBA acceptable.
• BLS required; professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a Professional Practice model with interdisciplinary partners.
• Ensures unit operations comply with Nursing Practice Act and standards.
• Leads the unit to achieve quality patient outcomes while controlling costs.
• Oversees recruitment, orientation, credentialing and staff development.
• Delegates through shared governance; promotes research to improve outcomes.
• Performs nursing care and administers medications as needed.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Supports policy development reflecting evidence-based practice.
• Allocates resources and oversees budget for a cost-effective unit.
