Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor for the Pediatric Operating Room at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. You will lead a multidisciplinary pediatric OR team, oversee staffing, patient flow, and clinical operations to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The role requires nursing leadership, adherence to policies, and collaboration with department leadership. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants; typical schedule is dayshift, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BSN required.
• BLS required; certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager with nursing practice quality and delivery of care in the department.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication across shifts through staff meetings to share information.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state laws and hospital policies.
• Rounds on patients, staff, and physicians to assess care and operations.
• Delegates care tasks to appropriate healthcare workers per policy.
• Identifies outcomes to guide continuity of care and department operations.
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments and medications as needed.
• Manages patient flow and staffing based on volume and acuity.
