Job summary

RiverValley Behavioral Health in Owensboro, KY, is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents aged 4–17 at an 80-bed Children’s Hospital.

You will conduct evaluations, diagnose conditions, manage medications, and develop individualized treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving youth behavioral health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Current PMHNP license in the state of Kentucky.
• National ANCC PMHNP certification.
• Outpatient or behavioral health experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents aged 4–17.
• Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, care managers and other team members.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and participate in ongoing education.
