Job summary

RiverValley Behavioral Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric care to children and adolescents in an 80-bed Children's Hospital setting in Owensboro, KY. The role includes evaluations, medication management, and individualized treatment planning within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a PMHNP specialization.
• Current PMHNP license in the state.
• ANCC PMHNP certification.
• Experience preferred but not required in psychiatric care.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents.
• Provide psychiatric medication management and monitor treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, care managers, and technicians.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation per policy.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and treatments.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
