Job summary

CarePlus New Jersey seeks a skilled PMHNP to perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose using DSM-V, and develop multidisciplinary treatment plans with medication management according to FDA guidelines.

You will coordinate with therapists and case managers, provide psychoeducation, and ensure timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation. Strong collaboration within an interdisciplinary team is required.

Qualifications

• MSN in nursing from an accredited program required.
• Current NJRN license and NJ PMHNP certification essential.
• ANCC certification or board eligibility with transition plan required.
• CDS, DEA, and CPR/BLS credentials required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability for agency vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluations using DSM-V criteria.
• Develop interdisciplinary, multimodality treatment plans and authorize medications per FDA guidelines.
• Provide psychoeducation and coordinate with therapists and case managers as needed.
• Complete clinical documentation timely and maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Prescribe psychiatric medications and monitor efficacy/side effects.
• Order labs/diagnostics, interpret results, and refer to specialists as needed.
• Monitor patient health status and track PHQ-9 trends over time.
• Provide coverage for peers when they are out of the office.
