Job summary

Care Plus NJ, Inc. seeks a PMHNP/APN to conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop multimodal treatment plans, and prescribe medications per FDA guidelines.

The role includes coordinating with psychotherapists and case managers, providing patient education, and ensuring timely documentation. The position requires NJ RN license with PMHNP certification, APN license, ANCC certification (or board-eligible), CDS, DEA, CPR/BLS, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• MSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of experience working with children (including during APN training).
• Current and valid NJ RN license with PMHNP certification.
• Current and valid NJ APN license.
• Current and valid ANCC certification (or board-eligible).
• Current and valid CDS.
• Current and valid Federal DEA.
• Current and valid CPR/AED (BLS).
• Driver's license and insurability by agency insurance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care within certification scope and clinical comfort.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic mental illnesses.
• Provide basic supportive psychotherapy as needed.
• Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
• Prescribe psychiatric medications and monitor efficacy/side effects.
• Order labs and tests; refer to outside physicians as needed.
• Monitor patient health status and PHQ-9 trends over time.
• Provide psycho-education and wellness services.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and present updates.
• Seek diagnostic guidance from collaborating physician as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and monitor HIPAA compliance.
• Provide coverage for peers when out of the office.
