Job summary

Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat pediatric patients using standard modalities. You will document progress, develop home exercise programs, and support families during hospitalization and at discharge.

The role includes mentoring staff, leading educational sessions, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
• Three years of clinical experience.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Michigan.
• Minimum of 60 points on the professional growth and development criteria.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients using standard physical therapy modalities (heat, cold, electrical therapy, ultrasound, exercise).
• Evaluate motor and neurological function and document findings.
• Develop home care programs and discharge plans; educate families.
• Mentor staff and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
