Job summary

This Physical Therapist per diem position is located at the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital Forest Hill site in Harford County. The role provides therapy services to children from birth to 21 years of age to restore function and prevent disability after illness or injury.

Responsibilities include evaluation, planning, intervention, and family education, with supervision by Senior Therapists and department leadership. Weekday outpatient coverage is required; CPR within one month is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved professional school for Physical Therapy.
• Licensed to practice or eligible for licensure by the State of Maryland; CPR certification within one month of employment
• One clinical affiliation in pediatrics and/or experience with children desired.
• Strong communication and patient education abilities.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and assist with patient handling.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat pediatric patients (birth to 21 years) using evidence-based methods.
• Perform evaluation, planning, intervention, and documentation under supervision.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain schedules and complete patient care requirements within established timelines.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and comply with accreditation and hospital policy.
• Communicate effectively with team and manage caseload efficiently.
