A Physical Therapist 2 consistently provides effective direct care to a variety of complex patients. In doing so, the Physical Therapist 2 acts as a role model and supervisor for junior staff and helps identify patients with unmet physical therapy needs. This level of therapist seeks and provides feedback for improved clinical practice and begins to assume a leadership role, seeking mentoring in this process. A Physical Therapist 2 focuses on expanding clinical knowledge and skills beyond the entry level and sharing this knowledge through in-services and mentoring PT1s, in coordination with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Therapists at this level may contribute to performance appraisals. The PT2 is expected to serve as a primary clinical instructor for students.
$73,444.80 - $117,520.00 annually.
Requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and legible writing. Ability to lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs. May be exposed to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
